ABOUT ME
My Story
I’ve had a passion for children since I was a child myself. When I was growing up, I was always extremely interested in the idea and process of taking care of other beings. It all started when I landed my first babysitting gig at 12 years old. Right then and there I knew I had a passion for caring, and it was only natural that I would focus on children.Â
I attended college and completed my Early Childhood Education degree in 2011. After graduation, I started work as a daycare teacher. Not long after, I got a job as an ECE in kindergarten classes with the Ottawa Carlton Disctrict Schoolboard. I spent 2 school years in this position before realizing that I much prefer the more intimitate group setting of a daycare class than the high ratio setting of the kindergarten classroom. I returned to my passionate work as a daycare teacher in a daycare here in Ottawa and haven't looked back since. I also have 3 children of my own and as a mother, I realized the importance of having someone qualifed and experienced who you can trust to care for your children. That is my goal with Merry Melody. I want parents to be able to leave their children with someone who they can trust so that they can get the much needed time away that all parents need and deserve. MEET AND GREET
A Right Fit for Your Family
I provide a complimentary 30 minute Meet and Greet to insure that I am a right fit for you and your family. My goal is to make sure that you are comfortable leaving your children in my care. You decide what you'll use those 30 minutes for. Ask me questions, walk me around your home, introduce me to your children (or not), explain your children's bed time routine, etc. It's up to you!

Years of experience have made it clear that parents often need a Child Care Provider on short notice. As long as I'm free when you get in touch, I’ll do my best to accommodate you. With my in home Childcare service, delivered by a qualified and experienced provider, parents can stay calm whenever they leave their children in my care. Don’t hesitate to call me whenever you need. With my Services, I'm a highly convenient and safe option for parents who are always on the go.

Your Baby is in Capable Hands
Having Overnight Newborn Care is proof that I understand and care about the immediate needs of both parents and babies. I know how joyful and how scary it can be to have a baby, and I love helping families feel relaxed whenever they put their newborn in my care. My goal is to make you feel as calm as possible every time you leave your baby in my care while you either get some much needed sleep or some quality time away with your spouse.
